Nations Trust Bank customers (non-Business) who hold a Primary Credit Card, an active Savings or Current Account, a Debit Card issued by NTB, or a Proprietor savings or current account.

Your mobile number and email address must already be registered with the Bank. You must also be an active Account, Primary Credit Card, or Debit Card holder.

You can register using one of three methods — your Nations Trust Account, NTB Debit Card, or American Express/MasterCard Credit Card. Once you submit your details, a verification code is sent to your registered mobile number. After verification, create your username (minimum 4 characters) and a password that meets the following criteria:

  • Minimum 8 and maximum 30 characters
  • At least one uppercase letter
  • At least one number (0–9)
  • At least one special character from @#$%^_-+

Nations Direct Online Banking is best viewed on Chrome, Firefox, Microsoft Edge, Safari, and Opera

Yes. For accounts with "either party" operating instructions, not all holders need to register. For "All of us" accounts, all parties must sign up and approve every transaction together via in-app notification, SMS, or email before it is completed.

You can call the 24/7 Contact Centre from your registered number at +94 114 711 411, visit the nearest NTB branch, or use the Service Requests feature found under "More" in the Mobile App or in the side menu of the Online Banking platform.

Use "Forgot Username" to retrieve your username and "Forgot Password" to reset your password on Nations Direct. If you are migrating from the old app or old online banking, follow the same process. Your saved username will not be visible on your first login to Nations Direct

Yes. If you were previously registered on Nations Trust Bank's online banking service, you can continue using your existing username and password on Nations Direct. If you have forgotten your credentials, use the "Forgot Username" or "Forgot Password" options to recover access.

Nations Direct uses 128-bit SSL encryption to protect your User IDs, passwords, and account data. Multi-factor authentication is also applied, with a verification code sent to your registered email or mobile at the time of registration.

Biometrics are physical identifiers such as fingerprint mapping or facial recognition that are used to uniquely verify your identity. On the Nations Direct Mobile App, you can enable biometrics at registration or later via Settings and then Security Settings. To disable, go to Settings and then Configure Biometrics. On the browser version, your password is used instead.

Yes. If you skipped biometric registration during setup, go to Settings and select Security Settings to register. To disable biometrics, go to Settings, select Configure Biometrics, and turn off the option you no longer require. This applies to the Mobile App only. On the Online Banking browser, the password is used instead.

Yes, but check your carrier's roaming charges. Nations Direct may not be available in all locations or sanctioned countries. We strongly recommend avoiding use on free public Wi-Fi networks.

We strongly advise against using Nations Direct on free VPN services as your credentials could be compromised.

Yes. Go to Settings and then Transaction Settings to increase or decrease your limits within the bank's standard ceiling. Limits cannot exceed what has been set by the bank

Your account will be locked after 5 invalid login attempts, combined across the mobile app and browser. To unblock, select "Unblock your account" on the login screen. We also recommend using "Forgot Password" to reset your password at the same time.

Select "Card Payment" from quick access, choose "Select Institution", and enter the card details. Payments are processed via CEFTS. Processing timelines depend on the receiving bank and NTB is not responsible for any delays on their end
