Fixed Deposits On Your Own Terms.

Nations Trust Bank introduces Nations Flexi Deposit, which lets you open fixed deposits with a flexible investment period of your own choosingto receive the benefits of high interest earnings. With this product, you can choose a flexible investment period ranging from a minimum of 30 days to a maximum of 365 days for your fixed deposit with attractive interest rates relative to the investment period. Flexi Deposit is specially designed for when you have realized significant sums of money and wish to hold these funds in cash for short periods before reinvesting them. Flexi Deposit accounts can be opened as individual or joint accounts by resident Sri Lankan nationals or resident foreign nationals holding a valid Sri Lankan resident visa.

Speaking about the launch of Nations Flexi Deposit, Mr. Sheahan Daniel – Head of Branches at Nations Trust Bank had this to say, ‘Even when funds are not required immediately, customers are often reluctant to open fixed deposits because of the inflexible deposit periods.For example, say you want to keep your money in an FD for 50 days, with normal FDs in the market this is not possible, either the customer has to open a 1 month FD or a 2 month FD and usually they decide not to open an FD at all. With Flexi FD the customer is free to choose the length of their deposit period in an odd number, anywhere from 30 to 365 days, with interest rates varying with the deposit period chosen by the customer. This flexibility with regard to investment period is what makes this product very suitable for short term investments of cash holdings.’
