Nations Trust Bank American Express Golf Extravaganza 2015 Concluded At The Royal Colombo Golf Club

The annual Nations Trust Bank American Express Golf Extravaganza 2015 concluded at the Royal Colombo Golf Club recently with the participation of 230 players. The tournament was conducted on a shotgun stableford format in two sessions, for the categories Men’s, Ladies, Masters and Seniors. Majority of the participants were Nations Trust Bank / American Express Cards customers.

Division A, categorized by a handicap of 0 - 9, was won by Primal Wijayanayake with 35 points and Micheal Perera Magala coming in second scoring 34.

Division B, the handicap group of 10-18 was won by Druvi Sirisena 38, with Gihan Wickramasinghe coming a close second with 37 points.

Suneth Wijesinghe was declared the winner of Division C, with 37 points closely followed by Isam Salie scoring 36 in the handicap group of 19-28.

In the Masters Category we saw Mahasena Jayatilake emerging as the winner with 36 points and T A Weerasinghe becoming the first runner up with a score of 35. Seniors category, was won by A.S.Abdeen scoring 35 whilst Rienzie Fernando was the runner up with a score of 30. Roshini Sanghani won the Ladies category scoring 36 points whilst Mrs. N Amarasuriya emerged first runner up.

Gehan Siribaddana clinched the Nations Trust Bank American Express Challenge Trophy for the highest stableford score of the tournament of 38 , walking away with a bill wipeout worth Rs.100,000/= on his American Express Credit Card.

The runner up of the Nations Trust Bank American Express Golf Extraveganza was Jehan Ismail who also received a trophy and a bill wipe out on his Amercian Express Card for Rs 50,000/=.

The evening concluded with extravagant entertainment at the 9th Fairway where the participants and guests were invited to cocktails which followed the prize giving. Special prized were awarded to Bank’s customers with the next highest scores.
